how's your holy week?

Holy Week is that time of the year when Christians are given the chance to feed their soul. This gives us the opportunity to embrace our faith and get reconnected with our spiritual side. A time of the year when we strive to perform our religious duties, to make up for those times when we all been busy dealing with daily concerns in life, that we fail to spend time with our Creator and God.
Above all, Holy Week gives us the gift of redemption, a chance to look back and reflect... how we have been? What have we done in our lives? How we live our lives? Are we good or are we not? Did we please God or just our worldly selves? Are we willing to stay where we are? Or we decide to mend our ways.

Holy Week is God’s gift to humanity as Christians, and as children of God, a gift to free us all from our sins, mend our ways, change our lives and remain child of God. It is a perfect expression of how unconditionally God loves his children, which he is willing to give everything just so we would not be astray, that we remain in our faith and in his love and care.

I cannot imagine life without Holy Week. For life is a journey...each and every day you encounter different people, different situations, A lot of decisions to make... And no particular human is perfect, I am not...we all make mistakes. Most often than not, we don’t know if we’re going to make the right decisions or not...most of the time we fail and we regret – there are things we wish we didn’t do. There are things we do, not because we want to, but because we have to. Holy Week, gives us the chance to reflect on all of these...and understand in or our hearts...admit we sinned...repent...move on and start anew. As Jesus, resurrects on Easter Sunday... so are we...so we could have a fresh start.

I hope everyone sees the value of Holy Week, how these days can contribute greatly to improve one’s being...one’s life. There are 365 days in a year, and God only ask for 7 days, for us to spend with him...is it too much ask? Definitely not. It’s just a pity that most people fail to see the essence of all of these, that they take it for granted...that it seems that Holy Week is made for God, so we would be obliged to fulfil our duties to him, that he is the one who would benefit out of all of these holy ceremonies...but really?! Think about it...God is God even without us, how about us? Can we live without God? Come to think of it..It is us not God who needs us rather, It is us who needs God! All the time.

So, i'd say we should appreciate Holy Week more...don't just spend your time travelling and having fun or vacation, you've got 365 days in a year to do that...why do it on Holy Week? instead why take advantage of the time to enjoin your family and participate in Holy Week activities and ceremonies, find time to confess, abstain and spend some time with your church and with God...God has given us so much, we ought to find ways to give back...how about you? how was your holy week? how do you intend to spend the week? :)

Have a solemn and meaningful Holy Week to all christians and faithful...God Bless us all..always! :)

I WISH YOU WERE HERE

I can be tough
I can be strong
But with you, it’s not like that at all
There’s a girl
who gives a shit
behind this wall
You’ve just walked through it
And I remember all those crazy things you said
You left them running through my head
You’re always there, you’re everywhere
But right now I wish you were here.
All those crazy things we did
Didn’t think about it, just went with it
You’re always there, you’re everywhere
But right now I wish you were here
Damn, Damn, Damn,
What I’d do to have you
here, here, here
I wish you were here.
Damn, Damn, Damn
What I’d do to have you
near, near, near
I wish you were here.
I love the way you are
It’s who I am, don’t have to try hard
We always say, say like it is
And the truth is that I really miss
All those crazy things you said
You left them running through my head
You’re always there, you’re everywhere
But right now I wish you were here.
All those crazy things we did
Didn’t think about it, just went with it
You’re always there, you’re everywhere
But right now I wish you were here
[Chorus:]
Damn, Damn, Damn,
What I’d do to have you
here, here, here
I wish you were here.
Damn, Damn, Damn
What I’d do to have you
near, near, near
I wish you were here.
[Bridge:]
No, I don’t wanna let go
I just wanna let you know
That I never wanna let go
(let go let go let go let go)
No, I don’t wanna let go
I just wanna let you know
That I never wanna let go
(let go let go let go let go let go let go let go)
Damn, Damn, Damn,
What I’d do to have you
here, here, here
I wish you were here (I wish you were)
Damn, Damn, Damn
What I’d do to have you
near, near, near
I wish you were here.
Damn, Damn, Damn,
What I’d do to have you
here, here, here
I wish you were here.
Damn, Damn, Damn
What I’d do to have you
near, near, near
I wish you were here.

Love comes from the most unexpected places...

LOVE COMES FROM THE MOST UNEXPECTED PLACES...
By: Barbara Streisand

Love  comes  from  the
most unexpected places

In someone's eyes you've never met
Who wants to get to know you

In someone's smile you can't forget
And if the music plays on in your mind

Take all the love that you can find
And if love takes you in,
Take all the love that you can find
And hope it comes again.

Love comes from the most unexpected places
A love song on the radio you never hear enough of

In bars that thrive on loneliness
Where people sell their sorrow for your time

They take the love that they can find
And if love takes them in
They take the love that they can find
 And
hope it comes again

Love comes in many ways,
In lovers' arms and sweet bouquets

But if nothing's said then nothing's ever heard
So here I stand outside your door

And I'm trying to tell you just once more

That I love you…
I still love you…

Love comes from the most unexpected places
Alone again I search a street of unrelated faces

Where strangers look the other way

They're so afraid my smile might say "come in“

And take the love that you can find
And if love takes you in

Take all the love that you can find
And hope love comes again

LA VIRGINIA RESORT in BATANGAS

It was my son's birthday and since my son is not a fan of party, I search the net looking for a place somewhere South of Manila where me and family could spend the weekend to just have fun, relax and enjoy. I checked out several resorts ads online, and finally decided to place a reservation at LA VIRGINIA RESORT in Lipa City, Batangas. I was kind of hesitant at first cause it seems far and remote, but it's not. From Alabang Terminal we just rode a bus to Lipa Batangas thru STAR TOLLWAY, I was surprised that we reach the Tambo Exit in less than 45 mins. then from Tambo we rode a jeep to Mataas na Kahoy (bayan), and from there a trycycle to LA VIRGINIA. All in all travel time is about 1.5 hours to the place, not bad for a weekend get-away. The people by the way, were very nice to guide you, in case you ask them for the right way. So commuting going there, not much of a hassle. It was actually an adventure for me, cause it's my first time to go to Lipa in public transportation. First i get to appreciate was the climate, the breeze was really cool and fresh.

We reached the place around 8pm, It was well-gated and well guarded, it looks safe. When my eyes wander around the area, i felt glad, cause the place was nice and homey, the road going  inside the resort is in terrains... the view , was amazing. As i look around i felt like i wanted to rush in and see more of the place..there's just a lot of nice things to see, the place was big and surrounded by life size stone sculptures from big fruits, to wild animals, Buddha etc... I was really impressed, i didn't expect the place would be that nice.
