Pope Francis encounter with the youth at University of Sto. Tomas, Espana Manila

Just like all the other Papal activities, the event was well awaited, all the places were the Pope will pass by are flocked by people, all wanting to a get a glimpse of the Pope, the rain does not stop the people from standing on the side walks along the road, patiently waiting till the Pope pass by.

A mass was held inside the university grounds, the premises were filled with people not just the youth, but young and old alike.

Pope Francis visit to the Philippines

It was a real blessing from GOD that the new Pope, who chose to be called Pope Francis, decided to visit the Philippines. A mass was held in Tacloban this morning,at the very same location where so many people lost their loved ones and properties, when the said province was devastated by typhoon "Yolanda" -- which up to now, remained as the strongest storm ever to hit the land.

Thousands of people flock the area to get to see the pope notwithstanding standing on their feet for so many hours under the rain brought about by an incoming storm "Amang". During the mass, the Pope mentioned that, when he saw what happened to Tacloban, he thought he need to go and  visit Tacloban, so he came.

I am only watching everything as it was aired on national tv, yet i could feel the emotions as the Pope,  while speaking during the mass, touch the hearts of every Filipino people, most especially those people still suffering the pain of loss, of their families and loved ones, and the hardships of losing their homes and livelihood . "Some of you have lost a lot of your families; I don't know what to say to you, but the Lord knows what to say to you." He said. You could see people crying while praying, even just watching on tv, the sight is so overwhelming it put me in tears, there is something about the persona of the pope that exudes a different feeling, its like seeing and being close to God...feeling the presence of God.

God is good, he knows and understand all the difficulties all those people is going through, that he sent the Pope, to let the people know, He is here for them, sharing their sufferings, most importantly to give them hope, that after all those misfortunes, and darkness in their life, there will be light at the end of the tunnel. That eventually they will rise and overcome all the challenges and hardships, stronger and  faithful children of God.  As for me, God has proven to me again, that he is a living God, that he is with his people, in times we need him most. That God is truly a living and loving God.
